Privacy Policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

This is what digishakti.info collects when you visit, and what we do with it. We’re an independent guide to DigiShakti, the Uttar Pradesh portal for the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Sashaktikaran Yojana, the free tablet scheme. We’re not a government website, and we’ll never ask for your Aadhaar number, an OTP or any password.

Information collected when you visit

Every time you open a page, our web server notes a few technical details: your IP address, your browser, the page you asked for and the time. Our hosting provider holds on to these logs for security and so problems with the site can be tracked down.

Comments

You can comment on blog posts. When you do, WordPress keeps the name, email address and comment you typed, along with your IP address and browser details, which help catch spam. Your name and comment show on the page, but your email address stays hidden.

Emails you send us

Write to us and we’ll keep your message and email address so we can reply. We don’t use them for anything else.

Cookies

We set very few cookies. Tick the box under the comment form and WordPress will remember your name and email in a cookie, so you don’t have to type them next time. Our caching software may also set one, just to make sure you see the right version of a page.

Right now there are no advertising or analytics scripts on the site. If we ever add them, this page will change first. You’re free to block or delete cookies in your browser, and the guides will carry on working.

Links to other websites

Our guides link out to the official DigiShakti website, digishakti.up.gov.in, and to other sites. Guest articles on the blog may link elsewhere too. As soon as you leave us, the other site’s privacy policy is the one that counts.

Sharing your information

We don’t sell anyone’s personal information, and we don’t pass it to advertisers. The only time we’d hand it over is if the law made us.

Your choices

Want a comment you posted, or an email you sent, deleted? Just ask at the address below. Mention the page or the date so we can find it.

Children

We wrote this site for college students, parents and staff trying to make sense of the DigiShakti scheme. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If the way we handle information changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
